TONTOGANY—Otsego Local Schools is taking nominations for its 2026–27 Hall of Fame class through Nov. 1, and it crowned its homecoming king and queen during a homecoming week that ended Oct. 2, according to the district.

Hall of Fame Nominations Due Nov. 1

The district is accepting nominations for the next Otsego Hall of Fame class through an online nomination form. Nominations are due Nov. 1, 2026, according to the form. Inductees will be recognized at an awards reception on Friday, Jan. 15, 2027, at Otsego High School. For more information, the district lists Mary Gase at 419-823-4381 ext. 2165 or mgase@otsegoknights.org.

2026 Homecoming Court

Noah Mulinix and Molly Kramer were crowned homecoming king and queen, the district announced on its Facebook page on Oct. 3. Class attendants and their escorts were:

  • Seniors: Cailyn Lorenz, escorted by Carson Williams; Tana Wilson, escorted by Mason Kramer
  • Juniors: Sophia Borer, escorted by Pacey Waitt
  • Sophomores: Mya Burris, escorted by Logan Michael
  • Freshmen: Riley Fullenkamp, escorted by Carter Asmus

New Athletics Website

On Oct. 2 the district launched a separate website for Otsego Athletics at athletics.otsegoknights.org. It collects team pages, schedules, tickets, streaming links, directions, game-day information and athletic history in one place. Athletics is one of the most common topics on the main district site, the district said. About 35% of questions submitted to the site's AI assistant are about athletics and athletic events. The district says the site will keep growing, and it asks visitors to report broken links or missing information through the site's feedback form.

National Merit Semifinalist

Otsego High School senior Colton Schroeder has been named a semifinalist in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, the Sentinel-Tribune reported Oct. 1. Semifinalists qualify on the PSAT/NMSQT and must meet further requirements to become finalists. About half of the finalists go on to win National Merit Scholarships.

Strategic Planning Committee

The district is still recruiting students, staff, families, alumni and community members for the committee that will write its new strategic plan. In his October update, Superintendent Kevin O'Shea wrote that "as we begin the process of developing a new strategic plan, telling our story matters even more." The interest form is open. The district has not announced a deadline.
