TONTOGANY—Families in Otsego Local Schools, which serves Weston, who need help this holiday season can sign up for the Otsego Angel Tree through Friday, Nov. 6, the district announced in its October newsletter.

Angel Tree Sign-Ups Due Nov. 6

Families fill out a confidential online form to be included on the Angel Tree. The district says all information stays anonymous, known only to the program's organizers. Anyone who has trouble with the form can call the Otsego Central Office and ask for Mary Gase, or email her at mgase@otsegoknights.org. The form is linked in the superintendent's newsletter.

Football Clinches a Playoff Spot

The Knights beat Rossford 41-14 on Oct. 16 to improve to 6-3 (4-2 in the Northern Buckeye Conference), the Sentinel-Tribune reported. Otsego has clinched a top-eight playoff spot in its Division IV region and sits fourth in the 25-team region. A top-four finish would bring a first-round bye and a home game in the second week of the playoffs. Coach Craig Rutherford credited the team's nine seniors.

Otsego closes the regular season this Friday, Oct. 23, at winless Fostoria.
